Ok so I went to start with a bed bob a realized I had no extra bed to bob do to the loooong 63"chevy springs im running so here is the experiment im trying

Im moving the front spring mount another 8" forward a total of 19ö form stock allowing me to utilize the stock shackle mountin the back.

As to fit the tire in the wheel wells Im moving the axel back 6ö on the spring. (not 8ö because my tire sits a little rear already). to do this I plan to take:

The main leaf and drill the pin hole 6ö further aft on the spring
The center leaf and drill the pin hole 3ö aft of is stock hole
Im gona will use the stock hole on the bottom leaf and on the overload.

I plan to cut a 3/8in bolt into pieces slide them in the old pin holes weld and grind it smooth

After placing a 6* shim I believe the axel will be pretty strait under the spring.

This should allow me to cut the frame right behind the spring mount. Allowing me to bob like 13in of my 85 x-cab box.

Also the axel being even farther back on the springs that (in theory) allows for more travel so I can get rid of these f@%$ing dual shackles and still be really flexi

If there is a serious down side to this that im not seeing lit me know fast but if this doesnÆt work im just gona buy a set of trail gear rears and be done with it.

Ill let you all know how it turns out
