IMHO pop the cap off, put a hose on it and a clamp and run it under your bed. I used clear hose rather than black so if I had concern I can look under and see if there is moisture within the tube itself. Make sure you run the tube in some sort of upside down 'U' so water doesn't go in easily. I got my tubing from ACE hardware.

Won't you run the risk of creating a siphon using the upside down "U" shape? If water does start to go into it and peaks the crest it will fill pretty quickly I would think...

Body Damage is Cool
i used a factory breather from toyota that has a barb on it. it looks exactly like the stock ones on the axle but has a barb on the end. i ran mine into my gas cap filler. ill try and get pics today for you.

its one of the two breathers i circled. youll be able to know which one it is in person by looking at it.

Not necessarily - to my knowledge. I would think that there isn't any 'suction' coming from the diff. Hence if you leave a big enough upside down U unless your parked in the water it's not going to 'sciphon' in the water!

There is a common theory that hot gear oil and the air in the diff from the spinning gears will become instantly cooled upon the housing's contact with cold water. The cooling will cause the air and gear oil to contract and air gets sucked in. That is why the diffs aren't completely sealed to begin with.

Need a Spot
I used 1/8 NPT hose barbs. In the back I ran the hose up by the tail light housing. In the front I zip tyed it up near the carb. If I find water that deep my K&N will be under anyway. I got the barbs from McMaster Carr, a ten pack, pretty cheap.
