Chris is right about qualifying the response. Overall, the Wrangler is "better" offroad. It's easy to want to credit the Cherokee for its longer wheelbase, but it's obvious the stock Wrangler's better ground clearance, approach angle, breakover angle, departure angle, and wheel articulation is going to assist the four wheeler more offroad.
