I need some help on gears for an L200. No, unfortunately it's not my L200, but I'm trying to help someone who e-mailed me from Iceland. He was trying to track down a set of 5.29 gears and I gave him Frank's name & e-mail address but looking at pictures of his truck, I think he has the 9.75" diff. Didn't someone here post recently that the 9.75" rear diff has a flat spot on the bottom?

yep thats the big rear end you can also tell by how the filler located. Is his a 2.8 Diesel? bout the best he can do is 4.90's whats his truck geared at right now? I know my mitsu diesel truck is gears 3.90 so even 4.63's would make a big difference.

Well. Looking at that picture it appears rear brakes are drum type (can't see any clalipers). So it can't be big Monty axle.
