One of the first things id suggest is to make sure the ohmmeter is working properly, and get the TPS as close as possible to the stock settings. the proper readings are in the FSM, very first post in the forum, its very helpful. also, look at the position of the distributor bolt in the elongated hole in the distributor. if its all the way left or right, its probably not correct. try setting it near the middle, then dialing in the timing from there, if the truck runs right.
