Friend of mine is selling a Warn« M8274-50 8000 lb Winch with Roller Fairlead.

Any advise on this winch? I'm trying to do some research, if memory serves me correct this is a military style winch which is very robust, but how does it compare to new ones.

Costco also has a "Champion" 8000lbs... anyone know about this.

On the weekend I bought a 2000lbs winch which came with a receiver type set up.. which I thought would be ok on the rear hitch in a real pinch with a pully block to double the strength.

I suppose mounting the warn on my 20004runner would be pain, but I have an 81 pickup it would be good for.

Any advise would be appreciated
