It will give you more articulation if your tires were hitting somewhere on the body, which after the BL will be 1"-3" out of the way. It will not however make your suspension work or flex any better.
1 more vote for 4crawler. It took me 4hrs by myself to do mine. I didn't run into any snags though, and I had done it before.
