Need a Spot

I had an '86 Trooper with an identical problem when I replaced the CV boot (which had higher profile clamps). (It was over 10 years ago, but I may have replaced the lower ball joint at the same time).

I considered trying a lower profile clamp for the CV boot, but never got around to it. (I didn't drive my '86 for long after having that problem - a blown head gasket caused me to park it).
