ok ... since there isnt anyone to reply to my post (lol) I'll reply to my own ...

I have decided to swap in a 4.3 chevy and 4L60E tranny into my 1999 amigo. The swap is proceeding very well! I have created a site to document the progress and help others that want to try it.

Cool -- I haven't seen much swapping in second gens yet; should be cool to see how yours proceeds! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

The 3.2 is a pretty nice powerplant, but the Vortec V6 should be a great replacement, especialy for torque! 2WD isn't as exciting for me, but that should be a speedster on the pavement!

thanks ! i'll be updating soon .. I've been toying with the idea of later converting to 4wd. Theres room in there for it and the 4.3 and tranny arent taking up much more space than the original motor/trans were... i'm going to look around and do some research.
