Well I figured this was some good tech since through my searching I couldn't find where ANYONE had documented this type of install on this board. So here you go......

The motor is a 3/'00 3rz-fe which I putting into my 85 extra cab. and I wanted OBA, so I made a quick bracket for it.... Piece of cake!

I also finally got around to finishing up the solution to a little problem I discovered with the York mount I made. The factory upper coolant inlet was pointed slight forward and down into the york, hence the upper radiator hose would end up rubbing against the fittings on the top of the york like this:

So I pulled the cast aluminum inlet housing off, cut and sectioned a wedge shaped piece out of it so I could slightly point the hose up and away from those york fittings.

Then I took it down to a local machine shop to get it TIG welded. Well apparently this casting has LOTS of porosity and crap in the casting, so it didn't TIG for a DAMN. and you never know how a casting like this is going to TIG until you light it up...

MAN is that fugly! Luckily they didn't charge much and explained why it looked like that. Anyways I pressure tested it using some pieces of rubber and a C-clamp and some air fittings in a bucket of water. It held up to 100PSI so I guess its okay....

So now with it bolted on, you can see that the angle of it now puts the radiator hose far away from the york fittings....

Oh and if I have any problems with that intake casting I think I will just get one made from scratch next time. heck I might even put that on my list of side projects to tackle when I get bored.
