sorta, I bumped it once and it seemed to turn over a little, but the bolt wasn't loose enough to turn. The last time I bumped it, the engine lurched, but i don't think it turned over. so in effect, it is kinda like either the starter doesn't have enough torque to turn it over, or my battery is not up to the task.

the starter isn't that old, but that doesn't mean much to me. It is a parts store starter, and I haven't had alot of luck with them.

Would it be a bad idea to try it on the passenger side, and give the breaker bar a little gap so that when the engine turned over, the bar would catch and the shock load might break the bolt loose. My biggest fear with that is that I will shear the crank bolt, and then I am up the creek!!

Anybody??

Thanks,

Matt
