SUGGESTION: quit pumping coolant into your t-body and power steering vaccum assist thingy!
Connect the hoses that were nopes to the places I mentioned and see what happens. Betchya another nickel it runs!

IT RUNS!!
But very rough. Maybe the timing shouldn't be at 0' Duoh!
Thanks Darin. I owe you .10
I'll reset the timing tomorrow and see if that settles things down.

Now that it runs I notice that it doesn't go to the perscribed fast idle when started cold. I have checked all the connectors, hoses, etc. yet I can't figure why this is not functioning.
Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? My 87 22RE lost its fast idle warm-up also after a headgasket replacement....I never could figure it out. I hope someone here has some insight. ZUK

Yea. I have been searching for info on here but so far no luck. The ECU shows no codes have been tripped(WHAT? No code for coolant in the intake!!!! ) so I don't think a reset is the answer. Not sure why the TPS would need to be adusted as nothing has been moved. Once it gets warmed up it sort've idles but not smoothly.
So everyone here who has done a headgasket replacement has not had to make any adjustments after all was back together???

Pull your Aux. Air Valve from under the intake manifold and carefully remove the front cover (4 screws). Once you get into the inside, clean it up and then reassemble. Dont forget where the coolant lines hook-up and which are the air tubes!
Oh, and the light blue sqaure electrical connector (looks like an injector plug) MUST be reconnected at the backside or your cold idle circuit wont work properly.

Cleaned the Aux Air Valve-didn't look that dirty although there was a bit of moisture inside. She now starts without me having to open the trottle any(just the the key) but the 'fast idle' is only 500rpm. Weird huh?
