Getting the Wheeling Fever
Help,

I've had my tranny rebuilt.

I had the local import shop put it in.

First it was "thunking" when going into reverse.

Now it is disengaging altogether when the body rolls, ... even on the highway, on any turn, any speed, ... if the body is not perfectly square, ... the driveline is disengaged.

I actually have developed a technique for getting the weight to shift center in the middle of a trun, ... to re-engage the driveline.

Thoughts appreciated, ... it goes back in on Monday.

I'm not too hard on the mechanics up here, ... they have never seen these trucks before, let alone worked on them.

Is this the same shop with the flexplate/pressure plate ordeal?

If so, I would highly suggest finding a new mechanic. After something is fixed, it is supposed to work. Not the other way around.

Low on fluid man. When you turn it all sloshed to 1 side. Take it back.

I really hope it's just low on tranny fluid.

Goes in Monday. I might actually have them tow it.

Yes this is the same shop, ... been using them for many years, ... although mostly to fix my VWs.

Flexplate vrs. Pressure Plate ... I will grab a picture of the part that came out of the other truck, ... and U can all see the part for yourself, ... and direct me as to wtf to do.

Boy, ... really hope it's just the tranny fluid levels, ... that sounds pretty easy.

Unless the fluid was up, ... and somehow is leaking out? Maybe? It drove really well when I first got it back, ... and it's pregressed to this state in a week's time.

Happy Easter, ... going to find me a bunny!
