Was it difficult taking the manifolds off?

So far, I only have the Exhaust manifold off. That was pretty straightforward and surprisingly easy. I hit the 3 bolts that connect the manifold to the front pipe of the exhaust system with WD-40 and they were by far the worst, but I just worked the nuts off a little then back on, back and forth, getting them to back off a little more each time.

The nuts and bolts that hold the Ex manifold were slightly stubborn, but not bad.

I didn't have the daylight left to take off the intake but suspect that it will be an excercise in contortion but very do-able.

It all definately gets easier once you get some things out of the way.

I wonder if I need to remove the A/C condenser coil, I don't see that I'll gain much room by removing it, I can protect it with a piece of plywood when I pull the engine out.
