Maybe you are already past this point but I like to pull the engine wiring harness from the pass kick panel and pull the whole engine wiring and all. The only thing I remove is the tranny bolts, motor mount bolts, AC compressor, radiator, fan shroud, ps pump, alt wiring, starter, misc hoses, seperate exhaust from exhaust manifold and throttle cables. I think that covers most of it. I place it on an engine stand and go to work. It was alot easier to remove things while the engine was out of the truck. Just an idea. I just did this on my 88 and it worked great and was easier on my back.
