Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hi All,

My C223T engine is loosing compression, I just removed and stipped the engine aprt today. I saw the number on the back of the conrod bearing is .75, Does anyone know what is the maximum size of oversize bearing for this engine or I have to replace the crankshaft?

Thanks Heaps

Body Damage is Cool
THOSE BEARINGS ARE ALLREADY WAY PAST WHAT THE FACTORY WOULD HAVE USED EVEN ON THE GASOLINE ENG , UNDERSIZED BEARINGS WERE NEVER OFFERED BY ISUZU FOR THE DSL, HOWEVER SOME AFTERMARKET BEARINGS ARE AVAILABLE ,, THE ORIG, CRANK WAS TREATED WITH A TUFTRIDDED SURFACE PROCESS WHICH IS A HARDENING PROCESS THAT IS ABOUT .020 THOUS, DEEP , WHEN THE CRANK IS GROUND THE TREATMENT IS GONE ,UNLESS OF COURSE IT IS RETREATED WHICH IS ESP,A .75 IS .030 THOUS UNDERSIZE I WOULD BE LEARY OF ANYTHING CUT THAT FAR UNLESS IT IS FOR A VERY LIGHT USE APPLICATION... Hi Jerry

Thanks for those information. Maybe I will source for an imported engine instead of rebuilding it. Trong
