It's staying in the family... my father's going to use it as a DD for a bit, and then my younger brother is going to use it to get his permit/license.

It's eventually going to be sold though. Going to be a sad day, as it's been in the family since day 1. Heck, I still remember the test drive, 14 years ago.

I pick up my new xA tomorrow afternoon. This car scene is going to be a BIG change for me. I've known nothing but 4wd since I was born.

My aunt treats me as if I were one of her children (she has none), and she flat out offered to finance and pay for a Scion over the holiday weekend.

Your aunt wouldn't be looking to adopt a nephew would she. I might be available.

Ah well, going on 3 days without Ol' Blue, and actually, loving it. 140 miles out of this tank so far, and I haven't even hit halfway.

Anyways, here she is...

And the last gratuitous Trooper shot I'll be posting for a while.

Need a Spot
I'm in the oposite possition but i can understand. I've never had a 4x4, i had an 87 GTA trans am, 94 Firebird, 94 Trans Am, and up until a about 3 weeks ago a 98 trans am. I loved my T/A and i do miss it but i was averaging 13 mpg. i was actually gonna get a 6speed one cuz they can get up to 26mpg highway in 6th gear at very low rpms like 1500 at 65mph. anyway. i bought my trooper instead because i got a great deal, $3000 for my 99 trooper manual with 140k miles. since i'm gonna graduate in a year i had to start thinking about paying off my university loans and since i sold my t/a for $10k i can graduate now with no debt plus i have room for my cousins in my car when we go camping. I had put a 13' canoe on my Trans Am, and it has glass t-tops! i just got a nice yoga mat which is grippy and cushy and put that inbetween the canoe and my car and tied it down! I'm happy with my trooper for different reasons than my trans am but i'm happy to get an average of like 15.5 mpg! i know ill get another t/a some day. but i'll probably keep my trooper too. I'm sure someday you will be able to get a trooper that's even better that what you're giving up and you wont have to fix it all the time, just upgrade or fix only what you broke not what should work.

Best of luck with you're new car!
