Getting the Wheeling Fever
i jsut lifted the rear of my 92 Sr with 2.5 inch valley spring coils, now the axle has been shifted to the right about .5-.75 of an inch, what have you guys done for relocating the axle to its proper location, i have been looking at an adjustable panhard bar for a jeep from rubicon express like the one my buddy has on his jeep, all ideas welcomed

Grifter. I don't recall my 90 having that issue with either a 2 or 3" longer rear spring. You can also check with CAP510 to see if he had that issue.

I noticed that with mine today after reading this. It has something to do with the fact that the panard bar is sitting at a different angel now. This changes it horizontal length I guess is how to say it. You would need to chage the length of the bar to correct the problem.

I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong, still kind of new with this lifting trucks thing.

I keep looking at mine trying to find something like that but it isn't there.

Maybe you have another problem?

It always changes the location of the axle when you lift it. Simple geometry lol. a(squared) + b(squared) = c(squared) . Change the length of a or b and c changes, too bad on our rigs c is the panhard bar and it isn't getting any longer on its own, so to compensate the axles shifts over.

I would get a local fab guy to cut the bracket on the frame off and drop it down a little.

You could also build a new rod using a threaded section so you can make it longer or shorter.

Doug is right, its simple geometry! If your lateral rod (panhard bar) is a certain length, as soon as you raise it at all, its gonna pull the axle in closer to the side its connected to the frame. You can get a fab shop to custom make a new one, maybe even an adjustable one for future upgrades, but another simple way is to get a fab shop to lower the bracket back to its factory height. I never once asked what others have done to correct this. When I purchased my lift, I also got an adjustable lateral rod that can accomidate up to a 4" lift. I dont know any other company out there, you'd have to ask other Gen II owners what they did.

Good luck,
Angelo

If it stops raining and it dries up I will try to to give it a quick measure.
