I thought the same thing, since the instructions call for you mounting the winch and then installing the bull bar with he winch installed.

When I mounted my winch, I squeezed the winch in from the bottom and held it up while I attached the two top bolts. It was a one-man operation so there was some struggling to do. But it saved me the hassle of removing the bumper and having to lift the bumper and the winch together. That winch is heavy!

Of course it was a trooper, so I donÆt know how much space you have on the rodeos.

You are correct on the lockers, they will help you out more then a winch. But a winch will get you out of trouble when those lockers make you take the harder lines <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
