So, would the only difference be in the 8.4" vs. the 8"? Perches can be moved - is it a stronger, better diff than say one from a 86-88? It looked like the diff had an 'extended' rear portion to it. I didn't see a locker though so I am not 100% on the year/specs of the rear axle in the taco.
