How do you guys with the chop-top raiders make the door sill and window track ect. look finished? I am thinking about buyin another raider and i wanted to do a chop top on my old one and keep the "new" one looking good.

I had actually laid my current raider on its side when i slid sideways into a river bed that runs along a trail at my house. so it is a little smushed

Like a Mitsuonda .... or maybe a Hondabishi ... don't you guys know anything .... LMAO

But really !!! I'm seriously pondering cutting the top off mine too .... I would really love to see some detailed pics of the operation ! I have Amish craftsman in my neighborhood that could fabricate a frame and fit the canvas for a drop top once I've made my mind up

I cut my doors so as to just remove the window frame from the top of the wing window, around to the lock plunger spot. I cut and shaped what was left, and applied the paint. They came out really sweet and the window has plenty of internal support when it's up. It doesn't rattle a bit. I then used a dab of black silicone caulk to fill the weatherstripping bulb where I cut it, to give it a more finished look.
I can get you pics if you need, but it'll be a few days.

Don't you think he'd wear a hole in his leg after a while?

The only thing wrong with that avatar is the fact that hondas are 1,000,000 times more reliable than mitsubishis. My honda has more trail usage on it than my LWB does. AND trail rash not to mention

Since I can't find one in PR, I've been thinking the same thing. I want a two piece top. I want to cut it like a jtop, with a permanent steel "roll bar", a removable steel targa roof, and a rear roof. I figure I'll have to cut the rear door, to make a swinging tail gate with flip up hatch glass. I'm thinking I'll try to mold a fiberglass rear section, using the old steel top to make a mold, with plexi sindows, unless I can figure a really nifty folding rear canvas top. If I can figure a way to seal the rear of the cab, I might settle for a rear tonneau cover.
