Only problem was the rear cargo door did not quite shut right.

If the rear cargo door shuts but is not shutting correctly, the hinges are probably out of adjustment. Usually a cheap problem to fix.

Yeah... true that! I forgot that they were still makin' them for sale outside USA. In fact, weren't the 1`GEN Troops available up until like the mid-late 90's, right? and with diesels too IIRC ?

Yup, in the UK the 1st GEN Trooper was made til 1992. They had two length chassis Troopers, the SWB and LWB like we got here in the USA. Only thing different was their SWB Trooper models were the same as our rare 89 model Trooper RS. The LWB model is no different in that it's a 4 door Trooper. So, if you buy any 1st GEN SWB Trooper in the UK it will be identical to our 89 Trooper RS. A lot more common in the UK huh? Oh, and of course they had a diesel engine option throughout the whole generation of the 1st GEN Trooper (all years 87-92). Halfway through 92 they changed to the newer body style that you all see as our 92-97 Trooper. Their models are also all RHD of course. I always think it's just not fair that we didn't get all those great diesel engines as options in our Troopers sold here. Just not fair!

Body Damage is Cool
there was a 93 RS posted on Craigslist here in Denver a few weeks back - asking $3500 with 130k miles or so. It should still be available. Drove by it the other night, and it looks to be clean and stock (white exterior).

I was contemplating buying it for my daughter, but somehow 10 points against her license in the last two weeks has sort of dampened my enthusiasm (let alone the funds) to buy her ANYTHING. (gee, a teen in Colorado only has 6 points to start with anyway).
