Please remember that NOBODY gets paid to participate in our forums. Moderators or admins. We do it because we like it. That means that those who come to our boards pay nothing for the advice they take away. We just hope that they continue to hang around, learn a bit and maybe help someone else out in the future.

We are more than lucky to have someone here like Jerry who does this because he too loves Isuzus and just happens to be the guru of all things Isuzu. Troopersphere is another person who contributes greatly to these boards. For both of them, and many more, we are grateful. Without such people, these boards would not exist.

The moderators are not able to be here 24-7 (although it may seem like it sometimes) and answer every single question that pops up. I know, for me, it approaches burnout if I feel compelled to answer every post. When it starts feeling like a job, it is no longer fun. I would hate for someone to leave because they felt their contribution was "required" or "demanded" at some point.

So...no 24hrs is an arbitrary number and it is not enough time. Actually, board traffic has been down over the past few weeks. Nicer weather, getting ready for Moab, exams for the lucky few and the rest of our lives get in the way more often during these times.

I'll reiterate; we all want to see you get an answer. Not only does it solve a problem, it is often financially desirable to you. Some of us know more about some things than others (and Jerry knows everything). Someone will pipe up given a bit of time.

Buy the other set of hubs from the japanese guy. Give him an extra $10 for his trouble and then you can go back into the yard whenever and he'll hook you up, then you have spare, parts also. problem solved.

Aisins aren't just on Isuzus so you can find stuff on Google or other boards when you are pressed for time.

Yeah, I Googled and got plenty of rebuild pages, which is fine, but I don't need rebuild pages. I needed specs. In none of them did I find anything that helped me figure out why there was play in the inner hub. Or even if that play was normal.

Anyhow, thanks to Jerry I've narrowed my problem and I'm going to fix it. I ran to base ATM yesterday after the posts to grab another 3000 yen from our yen/cash account and go to the yard, but the ATM only distributes in 5ks....and not enough dinero to give me 5ks worth <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" /> I decided not to use our main account (took it as a sign to leave the hubs be for now), and hubby's traveling, I figured better to leave available cash for him rather than a toy item until he gets back.

Anyhow, I gotta get to the airport. The hubs must wait for several more days.

Hey, if I'd known the answer I'd have told you...but I only have a half-assed understanding of how my Aisins go together.

For a spec that specialized (keep in mind we are talking a much smaller Isuzu community here than you might be used to with Chebys), there might only a few people that know the answer. Sometimes they just aren't around when you need them...I know in my case I generally check here every day, but not always.

The other lesson I am starting to learn is sometimes you just need to buy another part, switch to another plan, or start from the beginning or else you find yourself in so much confusion. the other day I was making this spreadsheet about all the different types of radiators I can use in my truck with their thicknesses, widths, prices, construction, junkyard or new availability, brand, square area etc etc etc and I just said to myself what the hell I should just try one and see if it works instead of spending 50 hours using advanced autoparts website to find one that was the best by an insignificant margin that fit my specifications. You can make yourself go crazy with trivial stuff like this. Until you are like bingo I need to buy another set of hubs or just pick a damn radiator you find yourself spending way more that 70 bucks worth of your time just thinking and researching online.
