Just went up and looked at a 87 xtra cab sr5. 950 bucks. So i bought it. The good body is straight, starts right up, looks unmolested, frame has no rust,sunroof. The bad it blows white smoke like crazy (this is why its cheap) He thinks its either the head gasket or the block has a crack in it. We fired it up, sounds like a normal 22 re. what should i look for when i get this thing home. Hopw can i tell if its the head gasket or if there is a crack in the block. He has receipts of the engine, it was installed less than 6k ago. it looks clean. But for 950 i couldnt pass it up.
