when I drove cross country in my 88 at 65-70 mph on the same sized tires I got a little bit above 21 mpg. As I drove further and faster I dropped down to about 19-20 mpg.

Once I turned the AC on I got 18 to 19 mpg.

This was with my first turbo Raider that had a five speed.

What killed my fuel economy on the last two Raiders was bigger tires and having an auto. Once I figured out that differant alligment specs and a lockup converter were needed its been a lot better.

A stick is hard to beat for fuel economy, yours sounds like its running very well.
