Getting the Wheeling Fever

So I'm looking to change out the rear axle in my truck. I have an 85 4wd. What I would like to do is change out the whole axle to gain several improvements. The question is, what is the donor truck for the axle I want? What I'm looking for is the E-locker axle that came on Tacomas {I think}. It the axle wider? Are the brakes bigger? Does it have the stronger V6 third? How about a 4:10 ratio?
The idea is to just find one and have it shipped to me, thereby gaining many improvements at once. Anyone know?
