Without one, your just hopin your trans cooler is doin the job. Once you have a temp guage, you'll be surprised by what situtations will cause the trans temp to raise. A/T is a huge heat sink. Once it gets hot, it will stay hot. Ya need a remote, fan powered trans cooler AND a temp guage. I can flip a switch and watch my trans temp drop 40 * in less than 3 minutes. Best mods I've ever made.
