Need a Spot
I lifted my truck about 3.5 inches with the o.m.e 919s and front torsion crank, im still running the stock shocks because i have allready spent enough money on the coils, tires and alighnment. the <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> end bounces pretty bad over expansion joint and what not, so im guessing that most likely the stock shocks are some of the problem and the other being the heavy duty coils. Im just looking for confirmation before i tell the wife i need to spend more money on my truck. I know guys are running the 919s and even Bansil running the 929s.
Thanks for any help.

for 919s coils, the stock shocks are way too short. You need long Ranchos, 9000X 99179, for the rear.

you can even go with the pro comp shocks. There is no need to spend the extra money on the 9000x's. I run the pro comps and they have a far better ride than the stock anyday

919 are the longest coils for Isuzu, 912 shorter, 913 are the shortest. As for the coil rates, I suppose they are very close. I did not have 912, I had 913 and now I have 919.

The length difference between 919 and 913 is dramatic, 919 are about 50% longer (when uncompressed).

Yeah, the 919 is a LONG shock..actually had to undue the uppers and the shocks to get them in... And, there was NO WAY, the sway bar was getting hooked back up...

I am also running the 2 inch spacers on top of those...

I need a longer shock in the rear, ON TOP of the longer shock thats in there now....

But, to answer your question, yeah, spend money on the shocks, it will make a world of difference...

Chase I have a similar setup - 919+2" spacers.
Even the Ransho 99179 shocks were not long enough ! I had to install 99017. With them, it's perfect: the upper travel is exactly the same as the downtravel (I have bent links which helps).
