Short list of items needed to get an ignition pulse:

Camshaft position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor.
A good ECM (ignition circuit is built in)
Coils.
Plug wires.

To help track down the problem you will need a DMM (Digital Multimeter) with a bargraph display. Set the DMM to DC volts.

Behind the MAF there is a covered connector called the DLC (Data Link Connector). Pry open the cover and put the DMM on Pin 3 (yellow/white wire). Crank the engine and watch the bargraph on the DMM. You should see it pulse while cranking the engine. If it pulses the ECM and cam/crank position sensors are OK and chances are you have a bad coil. If no pulse things are gonna get messy. Either the cam/crank sensor isn't working or (gasp <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />) the ECM took a dump.

If it's not pulsing you may want to try a scan with a scan tool and see if the ECM set a DTC for either the cam or crank sensor.
