I specifically bought a 97 runner with the 2.7, and I can't say enough great things about it. It's got plenty of power yet a smoother clutch engagement than the V6. If I had to get another truck, it would be without hesitation another 2.7L 4cyl. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

EDIT: Gas mileage isn't bad, either. I do alot of city driving (alot of ideling at red lights), and I've yet to get below 20mpg. NOT bad for a 4 wheel drive SUV. Not that the V6 is a gas guzzler, but when I'm stuck in heavy traffic, I'd rather have the 4cyl eat gas than any V6.
