Getting the Wheeling Fever

I should have been more specific in that you need to use the specified lube for the fastener. I'm personally used to ARP which specifies numbers for oil and moly. Of course the moly spec is lower and they also don't take heroic efforts to get loose. I've pulled heads from a lot of motors and have never seen any which took the amount of pressure to break loose that these did - and I've never had one break before now either. If I had not been in a time crunch I would have ordered a set of head studs or bolts from ARP as the factory solution doesnt appear to have been designed to be disassembled - at least not very well.
But unfortunately if you want to do it by the book on this motor you will be installing them dry.

I got the bolt out. About an inch and a quarater of it. I find it hard to believe that these go in dry. But according to the book they do. I am going to chase the threads and go at it.
