The exhaust side gets oil last so the suspicion is it is oiling related.

#2 & #3 rocker shaft towers can be reversed, this will block off oil flow, the oil feeds across to the opposite side through the center tower. Also check for an obstruction of some kind.

If the lobes didn't get oil quickly enough at startup, then they can start to cut. Once they do start, they will keep on wearing.

It's not likely to be a rocker arm problem because that would show as wear on all of them. Unless the cam is a crossflow design (more lift on the exhaust side) which means you could simply be overpowering the spring.....*EB
