So I have a new gremlin on my 2003 Rubicon when ever it rains and the front end of the Jeep is facing down hill it will not start. The rear breaks lights still come on. Also if I keep playing with it and turn the key the gages will go nuts sometimes.
Anyone have any ideas?
I have not clue I would like to not put it in the shop but this one I am stumped on.

A couple questions...
If you park facing up hill and it rains, do you have the same problems?
Maybe it's not really the fact that you're facing downhill, but maybe when you are downhill, is the grill facing the wind so more rain is driving into the grill?
Either way, go under the hood and check ALL the electrical connections. Maybe even hit them with some contact cleaner and seal them up with dialectic grease. I used to have trouble starting my CJ in the rain until I put dialectic grease in both ends of all the plug wires and around the base of the distributor cap, haven't had any trouble since.

Thanks Chris! I did this tonight I cannot tell if this worked or not just yet but I will let you know.
I would like to add some things when the jeep dies one thing I noticed is when I press the break pedal with the key out on the ignition the needles on my tac and Speedo jump up over half way and then drop back to rest.
