They said they bench tested the solenoid and it was bad. Then they tested it again when I brought it back a second time and had the same result. What I am told and what actually happened may be two different things however.

They believe it is a mechanical problem in the valve body or torque converter and don't want to keep searching anymore. They are pushing a rebuild at me for $3440.
