Why don't you try to get some more travel out of the front end? Anything longer than Elmo Prado rear shocks is going to be a major undertaking and very expensive.

Anything more than that is going to be "a major undertaking and very expensive" as well. What I described about the shock mounts wont cost much at all, maybe $50 in parts and some welding time. And the gas tank wont cost but a few bucks and some welding time. You, of all people, I thought would appreciate a well built suspension set up instead of calling it "a major undertaking and very expensive". lol Maybe your just in denial because you know you are going to end up spending more time and money on your rear end?

hawk- for the cost of the new rear shocks, custom skid (assuming from Kyle), panhard fix, etc etc, get an RD90 . or better yet, a TJM so you can stop drooling over mine . you dont need that extra 2-4" of flex when youre locked, is it really worth it?

Sorry for the bum advice on the shaft, just thought I would throw it out there if you are close.

RT might be on to something with the RD90, it is a pretty sweet piece indeed.

The question of more travel versus two lockers is a good one. It helps to have all the tires on the ground, but it also helps to have all the ones that are there pulling. Which helps more is a matter of opinion.

Adam makes a good point about the rear set-up, I think I have seen someone else mention that before...

I do not speak morse code, but if someone deciphers that, it is likely worth something.

Either way, I think a new skid is a good idea, even if it does not help clearance much.

Ok, I ripped that off, how do you decode it?
