I have a CEL on, so on lunch I ran over to Autozone to have it read. I get 2 codes. The first I expected and need to address, but it is the EGR(1406) code. The second is code 0300, which according to the clerk is misfiring.

They gave me little printouts of the codes..the 1406 code says EGR position sensor...which is common knowledge to me, since last time I cleaned it out, I didn't do a very good job. There is nothing on the 0300 code.

Now, this is why I ask about the timing belt. I am at ~100K, and have never had the timing belt replaced. It is going in tomorrow for it anyway(just in time for Moab) Could the timing belt be worn enough to cause a misfire?

If it isn't the timing belt, and the CEL light continues after I clean out the EGR tonight, does anyone have any other ideas?
