yeah i got the lower torx bolt out and i got the nut off the top but i can not get the link out of the sway bar and was just wondering if there was somthhing that i was missing. i messed up the threads using the bfh method.

Well, if it is anything like the YJ...

Try the bfh on the sway bar. The links are sort of pressed in...sometimes you can tap them out by vibrating the bar enough.

Second option...go get a fork. Forget the technical name:

You hammer it in between the joint and the thing it goes into. There is more than just the sway bar put in this way.

Third option, just remove the sway bar entirely...that is what I did and it hasn't made enough difference in drivability for me to worry about. I pulled the links off where they attached to the axles and threaded the whole assembly out of the vehicle. Be careful the first drive and don't go far...just test. If you don't notice a diff then what's the diff? All that thing does is keep your body from leaning too far, and if that doesn't happen you don't really need the thing; just keep to decent speeds.
