OK, so I finally got the 22RE back together and it runs! The only issue I can tell right now is the idle is horrifically high. I disassembled each part of the intake, but I didn't replace the throttle body gasket. The others were replaced. Might this be an issue? I've investigated all of the vacuum lines and they seem to be in order. Anyone have any good ideas on how/what to check first and so on? Also, I think it needs the valves adjusted. Is there a way to do this with a cool/cold engine? I can't see getting the valve cover off in time for the valvetrain to still be warm. Thank you all (especially Enginebuilder) for your help.
