I remember running into a problem with the drier and I can't remember why. I think it had to do with hose routing, the condenser from an '86-'88 won't fit a newer truck and the new hose routing is slightly different so I couldn't use a new condenser with all of my '87 parts. I ended getting an '85 condenser and that worked just fine, but I can't remember what drier I used and why.

I just remembered the other thing you'll need, the newer dash switch won't fit your Runner so you'll need a correct one of those too.
