Im from oregon and have called a few wrecking yards and all have said they would be 400 bucks each. That sounds like alot to me but not sure? What is the max i should pay?

$400 ?!?!?1 Sounds like the Toyota yard here in Phoenix.
Mine ran $150 to $200 each, plus $25 shipping each located on Car-Part.com
One from Omaha, and one from Texas.
My neighbor did his the same way. His IFS front 4.88 was $95 complete, (plus shipping).

Yes and no. I haven't done a ifs diff, but by way of example, doing the rear on mine took about 2 hours. You have to pull the axles...which means un-doing the brake lines. THAT's the biggest PITA of the deal...but yes, once you get the axles out ( about 4-5 inches) the other one comes out and your new one bolts in. Voila....
If Mad Max had a 4runner...
