I called a few of these places and they are all auto discount is that ok since i have hubs? or will that cause a problem? as u guys can see i really dont know what all this is. lol

If you are just taking teh 3rd member off of it, then there is no difference. Esp on teh back, sicne there's no hub there <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> Oh and don't be ashamed of not knowing what yer doing - best way to learn is to F*&^ it up and have to fix it yerself, hahaha. I've been in college too...

For an Auto Disconnect, simply add a new seal to the diff side of the long axle tube. Don't need to worry about hooking up any lines or anything. To make it easy, put your existing diff cover on the one you get delivered. For more info on the seal, someone here can point you to it. (write-up)
PS, what shipping quotes did you get.

about 30 buck, but that was for one. I called one of those wrecking yards and had a 4-runner in with frount and back ready if i want to buy. I think thatd what i will do.

You need to select a '93 to '95 runner. That's the only time they offered the 4.88 from the factory. Or was it '92 as well? Can't remember.
