Agreed, this wouldn't be a first choice for off-roading exclusively -- but for mixed use I think it's a pretty nice solution. The tread is actually pretty aggressive -- I think the online images are very deceiving. They've so far behaved better than my BFGs (ATs and RuggedTrail) on wet roads. Very curious about how the snow goes.
My wife had all-season Nokians on her last car and I was very impressed with their wet/snow abilities -- and they weren't bad in the summer either. I think their winter performance was better than the winter-specific Blizzaks she had this past winter.
