That rocks... UNFORTUNATELY it did not contain the BEST part. When he finished Dallas and Gwen slid forward down the windshield while STILL on the rack.
If anyone has THAT video, it would surpass all others. We could hardly contain ourselves through the laughter.

Yeah... that sure was cool when Peter's roof, windshield, and hood got trashed. Looking back at the video, I'm also worried about where we almost ran over Kyren.

There are PLENTY of things about the event that far surpass that clip. 'Zu Zoo Palooza is fun, but the trails are even better!

Sure... I see where you are comin from, but it wasnt like that (intentional damage, etc). The roof was okay, we got the basket back on, and the windshield was thrashed according to Peter.
The hood was where the line was crossed.
Kyren was good, I saw him come up and had him step away... I mean shoot he WAS wearing a helmet.

I do believe that I was misunderstood... Yes the trails are fun, and are the focal point, and this was blowing off steam while having a good time. Simply implied that the last little bit would have been interesting to see outside of the perspective I had (holding onto the rig, and basket trying not to let it go while people were on it).

How does it go, "People do stupid things"?
Sure this was one of them, and it brought the funnay.

I'm not saying there was bad intent... I think it was just group-think and a string of circumstances gone awry. Good thing that Peter is full-out mellow -- many folks would have wigged. Let me personalize that -- *I* would become unhappy, were someone to stand on my hood.

No worries; bygones...
...back to the regularly-scheduled wish-I-was-still-in-Moab fest!

One of the things that bugs me about pics is how poorly they capture steep... I thought this one was worthy of note as an exception:

That pic almost looks like they're trying to flip it over backwards. Kind of like they used to do with ladders storming a castle.

To put this picture in context, that is Corbin using the front of Dan H's Amigo as a bench press. He was not keeping the amigo on the ground, but rather was using just a *little bit* of effort to actually remove the tires from the ground. IT WAS THAT STEEP.

Needless to say, Dan was not very impressed since we failed to inform him of the exercise break Notice the strap off the front, there actually was very little danger of him going over (but he did not know that )

You're right, Peter is ultra mellow, and it was cool... until the hood. He wasnt pleased. And I did put myself in his shoes... I would probably be the same way, cool with all except hood, then irritated. But thats just me. Meh, it is what it is.

But yes, That pic of Dan seems VERY similar to last years attempt @ Rock Pile. That thing is amazingly steep/tall for the SWB.

I DO like how this looks as though someone drove up it, and looks kinda cool to try if you wouldnt be immediately arrested...

Well, hind sight is 20/20 for most of us, I'm just glad Julie was there at the right time to get most of it! Accidents that happen in good fun are just that....accidents. I wasn't to happy with my hood, but there's always next year

All in all, being blind folded for that ride was a pretty wild experience!

I was just glad no one got hurt.

Now onto the rockpile, that is just one heck of a spot to be, just to drive up it is pretty crazy. Maybe next year I'll be able to get up in time for the trail

Just to top that one, I somehow managed to kill my battery in that spot and it was a bit of a chore getting the jumper cables on there...

Amazing how that bit of gray area doesn't seem like a big deal when its not your truck.
