I know this may seem like a strange request, but I'm curious what 33" tires look on our Toyota trucks/4runners with about 3-6" of lift. Reason I'm asking is that I'm in the process of lowering my lift by dearching my springs and I'm considering trading out my 35s for 33s.

I'm most curious to see pics of anyone running 33s on an SAS truck, like mine, but any pics would be appreciated.

How are you going to "dearch" your springs ..... I'm guessing bags of cement isnt the best way <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

They're at the spring shop as we speak getting professionally dearched and re-heat treated. The plan is to take about 2" out of what were supposedly 3" lift All Pro springs.

This would reduce the lift, not including tires from about 5.5" to about 3.5".

My biggest concern is how the suspension will react to the limited uptravel. I think I'll be left with about 3-4" of total uptravel at the spring pad. After reading about TNToy's low lift and others, I think this will work great.

I know my 35s will fit just fine as there's more than ample room now, but I might run 33s for my long road trips/expeditions and then keep the 35s for serious trails. Kind of like what 4Crawler does. That why I'm curious what 33s would look like.

Realize that Evan only uses his truck for low speed rockcrawling, so the uptravel considerations for him might not be the same as for you. You will definitely want some good bumpstops with that low of lift so you are not harming components if you hit big holes at speed.
