Someone correct me if I'm wrong (it's been a LONG time since I've had 9000s), but IIRC, if you spin the dial as far as it will go to the left, that's the first setting. All the way spun to the right would be the highest setting. I'm thinking you have it on the 5th setting there by the looks of it.
