Looks like a top shift to me but according to Marlin Crawler's , EFI ToyotaÆs came with the following:
W56-A 85
W56-B 86-88
W56-C 89-91
W56-D 92
W56-E 93-95

Maybe your is an early 89 and has a B then in which case, youÆll be fine.
