I took the simplest/fastest/cheapest route to the hood issue.... a $95 scoop from Moore Products in NC. I still have to relieve a couple of spots for the hood center crease, but it'll fit pretty well and in addition to the 4 mounting studs, I'll use some marine 5200 to bond and fill the gaps:
