Just call me a poser - poseur actually. I could care less what anyone else thinks - it's my truck and I don't know any better - particularly since I'm not a real off-roader.

FYI, I absolutely despise the sales folks at the local MB dealership where I take my wife's '06 M-Class for service and buy parts for my SL. The mechanics and service writers are decent folks, but the sales guys have their heads so far up their they can't see daylight. A few things they can clearly see are the MB badges on my Raider when I drive it to the dealership and park it right in front of the showroom. They particularly like it when they're trying to sell a G-Wagen to a customer and the customer points to mine and asks "How much for that one over there?". It's like waving a red flag at a bull and it's worth every dollar I pay them for parts just to see them get p*ssed.

I particularly like it when their customers ask me about my truck and I tell them that I only use mine for hauling fertilizer and if they shop around they can get one just like it for about $500.

To each his own......

Sometimes I even refer to it as the "Spoofmobile".
