To me the net effect is the same.... Better HP with a very mild motor with a lot more low end than a cammed up motor.

There is a differance in feel as the turbo has that windup feel as it spools up, for me thats the best part.

I feel the down side of a turbo is a bit " over blown" <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
