Well actually I don't engineer $1,000,000 toilets, but I did spend $5000 on a toothpick once! (true story!)

That sounds like a good story Do tell.

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Frank,

I'll ask at the mill for those fittings in SS for you. They have boxes of them.

Macka -

Thanks... if you can find them, I WOULD like to use them - plus it'll get the engineering QC inspector off my

I don't see the needed fittings in the McMaster-Carr on-line catalog..... the regulator has a 1/16" NPT thread and it needs to quickly change to a 90* angle and transition to 1/8" NPT to accept the AN -4 fitting. All of that needs to happen in less than 1.25" installed length.

Yes! Part # T2RSE1 is exactly the reducing fitting needed to come off of the regulator and make the turn in the available space.

If you can get it, I'd be grateful and will send a check right away. Anything to get engineering approval!

I see they have a distributor in Charlotte, NC and I may be able to order it myself, but I'll wait to hear from you.

I no longer work in Hydraulic systems design, so don't have the access/contacts. If you want I can phone around, but, history suggests your part would probably "have to come from the states" !!!! so if you can get one local, go for it.
I'm just happy that I helped in some small way, & 1/16 NPT is small but not as small as 6BA

I once dated a girl who's nick-name was 6BA......................I'll let you figure

Thanks, Steve -

I'll try the distributor - maybe they'll ship small quantities.

Like it or not, I'd better get used to seeing brass vacuum fittings in 1/16" NPT.

Here are the prices quoted by the distributor:

For a stainless steel 1/8" NPT street tee - male on one run, female on the branch and opposite run - $15.28..... not too bad... I'm still listening.

For the stainless steel 1/16" NPT male to 1/8" NPT female reducing street elbow - $154.13...... <choke/cough/spit> outrageous! ahhhh..... no thanks.

In fairness, it's not in stock at the distributor and has to be ordered from the manufacturer. The parts guy said he had worked there for 10 years and has never seen that fitting in stainless steel - or any other 1/16" NPT fitting.... yeah... ok..... bye-bye.
